CONSORTIUM
The Bank of Hanover, Citizen’s Bank, Commerce Bank, CommunityBanks,
Fulton Bank, M & T Bank, Northwest Savings Bank, PeoplesBank,
Sovereign Bank, Susquehanna Bank, Wachovia Bank, and York Traditions
Bank have agreed to participate in York County’s banking consortium.
Any additional banking institutions that are interested in participating
in the banking consortium will be able to join the consortium in
May 2006.
The consortium will begin meeting with applicants starting July
1, 2005. Small businesses interested in presenting should contact
Carole Swope, cswope@ycedc.org
or call 717.846.8879, at the York County Economic Development Corporation
for further details about the application process. Applicants have
to go through a screening process before presenting to the banking
consortium.
The banking consortium was developed to streamline the loan application
process for small York County businesses by providing them with
the opportunity to present their financial needs to three banking
institutions at one time. The creation of the banking consortium
is also a vital component to the proposed Keystone Innovation Zone
for York County, providing a ready source of financing options for
companies looking to locate within the proposed KIZ.
“The development of the banking consortium, along with the
Investors Circle of York (ICY), is yet another vehicle to help entrepreneurs
and small businesses succeed in York County.” – Darrell
