Incentives – Foreign Trade Zone 147 The Partnership for Economic Development of York County(PEDYC), an entity of YCEDC, recognizing the importance of this global community, established the foreign-trade zone to foster growth and provide assistance to companies wishing to expand their presence in the world marketplace. The creation of the foreign-trade zone within the District further emphasizes the role these companies play in the local, regional, national and worldwide economies by fostering continued growth in International markets and stabilizing the local economy.York County's Foreign-Trade Zone Project is contained within the International Trade District of York. This District is a corridor which runs through the center of York County, and comprises the highest concentration of firms operating on the international front of any area in the County.
