baseballFree Ticket Program for York Revolution
Approximately 2,015 fans saw the York Revolution play ball at Sovereign Bank Stadium for free.  The fans participated in the Free Lawn Ticket Program offered by the York County Industrial Development Authority.  In the course of 23 games, 43 organizations in York County were able to bring members, clients and/or staff to see a York Revolution baseball game.

The following is an excerpt from a thank you letter written by Desiree Irvin, Outreach Coordinator for Family-Child Resources.  "[Family-Child Resources] FCR attended the September 12th baseball game against the Bridgeport Bluefish....The evening was also one for making memories.  Through your act of kindness, you have made it possible for so many to enjoy a special night out...Thank you again for thinking of your community, and making it possible for so many to have a wonderful baseball memory that otherwise would not have been able to attend a game."

The YCIDA will be offering this program again next season.  As owners of the stadium, the YCIDA provides youth groups, groups with disabilities, senior citizen groups, charitable organizations, civic organizations, or other similar groups or organizations the opportunity to attend games free of charge.

"The Authority is thrilled that so many organizations throughout York County were able to take part in this program.  Sovereign Bank Stadium was built for the community and the purpose of this program is to help organizations bring people into the stadium that may be unable to do so otherwise.  To see this level of participation for a partial season is a good indicator for the 2008 season," stated John D. Krout, YCIDA Chairman.
