ATAYC

Air Transportation Authority of York County
ATAYC was formed in 1990 by the York County Commissioners to identify and respond to the present and future aviation needs of York County. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and ATAYC were concerned about the exodus of resources from Capital City Airport (CCX). The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) District Office branch left CCX, and the Flight Standards District Office and Mechanical Inspection District Office threatened to do the same. PennDOT and ATAYC pooled their resources and, with help from YCIDA, constructed the current FAA building at CCX.
